1. What SitCircle is
SitCircle is a babysitting circle coordination app for trusted community groups. It helps families in a circle organize one-off babysitting exchanges using a token-based system. Anyone may create an account and start a circle, but joining an existing circle requires an invitation or coordinator approval. Circles are intended for existing communities where families already know, or can reasonably verify, one another.
SitCircle is not a childcare agency, employment platform, background-check provider, government identity-verification provider, emergency service, matching marketplace, or regulated childcare service.
2. Beta service
SitCircle is currently in beta. Features may change, be added, paused, or removed as the app is tested and improved. SitCircle may limit access, pause a feature, or remove test data where needed to protect users, fix issues, or keep the service stable.
3. Who can use SitCircle
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must be a parent or legal guardian, or have authority to participate in the family account.
- You may create your own circle or join an existing circle through a valid invitation or coordinator approval.
- You must agree to these Terms & Conditions and the SitCircle Rules.
- Children may not create SitCircle accounts.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for any child information they enter and for the families they choose to engage with in their circle.
4. Private circles and coordinator approval
SitCircle circles are private groups for trusted real-world communities, such as school classes, nursery groups, neighbourhoods, extracurricular groups, friend groups, or other communities where families already know, or can reasonably verify, one another.
Coordinators manage invitations, join requests, and circle membership. Coordinators and families are responsible for deciding who may join and participate in their circle.
5. No vetting, background checks, or identity verification
SitCircle does not vet, screen, background-check, formally verify, license-check, or government-ID-check users. SitCircle does not match families with strangers or recommend sitters.
Families and coordinators are responsible for deciding who they invite, approve, meet, and trust. SitCircle may remove or restrict access if needed to address suspected misuse, unsafe conduct, fake accounts, or other trust and safety concerns.
6. Limitation of liability
SitCircle provides software to facilitate coordination between families who have chosen to participate in a babysitting circle together.
- SitCircle does not provide childcare, employ sitters, or supervise babysitting arrangements.
- SitCircle does not guarantee the identity, suitability, safety, reliability, or conduct of any user.
- All babysitting arrangements are made voluntarily between consenting adults.
- Groups are self-governing, and disputes are handled by the families involved and, where appropriate, the coordinator.
- You participate at your own risk.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
7. The token system
- 1 token generally equals 1 hour of babysitting, unless your circle rules say otherwise.
- Tokens have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Tokens are not currency, financial instruments, wages, or payment.
- Starting token balance is set by the circle or coordinator.
- Circle coordinators may help review token disputes or corrections.
8. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate account, profile, and family information.
- Keep children's information current.
- Follow the SitCircle Rules.
- Treat families, children, and coordinators respectfully.
- Use SitCircle only for private circle babysitting coordination.

Read the Privacy Policy10. Account deletion and leaving a circle
You may request account and associated personal data deletion at any time from your account email by contacting sitcircle@proton.me. You may also be able to leave a circle without deleting your full account.
Deleting an account or leaving a circle may not immediately remove every record. SitCircle may retain limited records where needed for legal, security, audit, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or app-integrity reasons.
11. Removal or suspension
SitCircle or a circle coordinator may remove or suspend access where needed to protect users, enforce circle rules, address suspected misuse, fix operational issues, or comply with law.
12. Changes to the app or these Terms
SitCircle is actively being developed. Features, workflows, policies, and rules may change. If these Terms change materially, SitCircle will notify active users where appropriate.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country or region require otherwise. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Austrian courts, unless applicable law gives you mandatory rights to bring a claim elsewhere.
